It has recently come to my attention that bearings in some trackballs such as the Logitech MX Ergo are static, but since the bearings are so smooth, it feels as if they're moving under your fingertips.
So, this raises a question about the keymouse track bearings as well, were they designed to spin within their socket or to be static, having the trackball glide over them?
