I decided to try to learn a modified arensito layout at the same time I learned my KeyMouse instead of sticking with the Dvorak layout. In order to have the comma shift to a question mark and the period shift to an exclamation mark while maintaining US International layout functionality, I needed to create a shift layer instead of using shift keys. Unfortunately, the "Key Combination" function to apply shift doesn't (currently) appear to work for mouse clicks or function keys. So, for instance:
[*] Shift+Ctrl+Esc works fine when input as FnGreen+ShiftedCtrl+ShiftedEsc
However, I'm having the following problems (where "Shifted" means SHIFT is selected as a key modifier on the currently activeFnGreen layer):
[*] Shift+Click is treated as a regular click when input as FnGreen+ShiftedClick
[*] Shift+Directional (arrow, pgup/pgdn, home/end) is treated as a regular directional when input as FnGreen+ShiftedFnBlue+Directional
[*] Shift+Ctrl+Directional is treated as a regular ctrl+directional when input as FnGreen+ShiftedFnBlue+Ctrl+Directional
[*] Shift+Ctrl+Directional is also treated as a regular ctrl+directional when input as FnGreen+ShiftedCtrl+ShiftedFnBlue+Directional
As my directionals are all on the blue layer, I can work around this by including shift keys on that layer, but that is both inconvenient and inefficient with my layout (because the blue layer shift keys have to be in an abnormal location). Additionally, prior to replacing my base layer keys, Shift+FnBlue+Directional worked as expected with or without Ctrl being pressed on either side of FnBlue. I think that information paired with the working example and the last two problem examples indicates that this is either a bug or a design decision (as opposed to involving the number or type of shifted keys).
Can I get confirmation as to whether these problematic behaviors will be treated as design characteristics or bugs to eventually be squashed?
